Suggestions for Golf Tour Packages - Northeastern Region

3-Day Itinerary

Although the Northeast is Thailand's biggest region, its main golf courses are located in hilly terrain around Pak Chong and Nakhon Ratchasima, within easy driving distance from Bangkok.

Day 1: Transfer by coach to the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, known as Korat , with a brief visit to Khao Yai National Park on the way. In the afternoon drive to Prasat Hin Pimai, a historial park containing one of the best preserved stone castles of the ancient Khmer empire of Angkor. Spend the evening in top-class accommodation in Korat, and discover spicy northeastern cuisine.

Day 2: Take a short drive to Rooks Korat Country Club Golf & Resort, a pretty course surrounded by woodland. Not too challenging although the small greens make approach shots somewhat tricky. In the afternoon, visit the major silk-weaving centre of Pak Thong Chai, just south of Korat, where materials for the famed fashion houses in Bangkok are made. In the evening, catch a northeastern cultural show.

Day 3: Head for the beautiful Forest Hills Country Club, set amid rolling hills and forest, where designer, John Rogers has created stunning backdrop of waterfalls and rock gardens. Not too difficult a course, but lots of fun. There are also a hotel and sports facilities at the club, if you want to stay on. Otherwise pay a visit to Chokechai Farm, one of the country's pioneering dairy farms, where you can play at being a cowboy. Return to Bangkok for a well-earned rest.
