The Jewel Fest Club (JFC) is a non-profit organization which was established on October 29, 1997 under the co-operation and supervision of The Thai Gem & Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) and The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
Tourists' petitions about gems and jewelry have damaged the general reputation of the country. To combat this problem, the government and private sectors, TGJTA joined hands to establish the Jewel Fest Club. It has been actively engaged in setting the merchandise standards at reasonable prices for tourists and local customers. It also recommends that customers look for the JFC logo before buying gems and jewelry in Thailand. A certificate will be issued upon their purchase from JFC member stores. If customers are not satisfied with the merchandise, they can return them with a money back guarantee under the Club's conditions.
Objectives
To create a positive image of Thailand's gems and jewelry industry.
To set the standard of retail business in the gems and jewelry industry both in terms of price and quality.
To educate consumers on how to buy gems and jewelry.
To guarantee satisfaction and ensure confidence when consumers purchase gems and jewelry from JFC member stones.
