Phrae

This province covers an area of 6ĦA538 square kilometers. The provincial capital is 551 kilometres north of Bangkok. The province is noteworthy for several temples, including Phra That Cho Hae with its golden chediĦA Wat Phra ThatĦA which houses a Buddha relicĦA Wat Luang and Wat Phra Non. The Phae Muang Phi Forest Park some 18 kilometres from the provincial capitalĦAfeatures earthern plllars created from wind and chock erosionĦDBan Na Thum, Ban Hua Thung and Ban Na Mon produce distinctive Tin Chok woven cloth.

The MaeYom National Park and Wang Ko Sai National Park offer nature lovers different aspects of northern TIal topography, including teak forestsĦAwaterfalls and hot water springs. Phrae is conveniently accessible from other northern provincial capitals, and Bangkok, by road.
